Our Builder
We offer you an experienced team to bring your project to life, with interior, exterior and design done by tried-and-tested Ellingsworth Houses staff. Our builder, Mark Osborne, is a local, well-respected tradesperson with over 17 years’ experience in the home construction industry, ensuring your project is delivered professionally, on time and on budget.
We operate with full transparency and encourage every client to take an active and involved role in monitoring their project.

My father and I would go and source raw materials and build items such as beds and furniture, some that I still have today. Project Manager
Robert believes in an active, hands-on approach to project management, becoming your touchstone during the entire home building process while turning your vision for a home into a reality. Clear communication and availability are essential here, and you’ll have regularly scheduled meetings to keep up to date on every aspect of the project. His approach to project management is unique in going above and beyond for every client, including providing 24/7 access to onsite cameras so you can watch your home become a reality.
Rachel Horwood
Head of Interior Design
As the daughter of a real estate professional Rachel grew up in open homes and has property expertise in her blood. With a degree and master’s degree in design, she balances her lifelong experience and formal training as a powerhouse of skill, knowledge, and experience.
Unlike other building companies, design is not a component of the build – it is integral to the entire experience. While building your dream home, Rachel is there every step of the way. From the beginning of the externals down to selecting each drawer, appliance and fixture, she’ll guide your design and bring your vision to life.
Melanie Staas
Budgets and Timelines
With 20 years of finance and bookkeeping experience, Melanie works to make sure that your home is delivered on time and on budget. To her, a smooth and predictable home building experience is just as important as the craftsmanship and skill that goes into building your home.
Her process is thorough and involves working out a firm budget, must-haves, and non-negotiables, supporting you right through from initial discussions to the handover of the keys to your newly completed home.
Her home-building philosophy is to “invest in high quality features and fixtures, as your home will be the largest commitment you make to yourself and your family, so ensure that your home lasts generations.”
